add and remove
Under the utils menu you find several functions grouped under data maintenace that allow you easily delete material that is no longer in use.
Since different companies have different work-flows there are several tools to easily maintain and cleanup data in INTERDUBS.
Bulk Delete Logins
The bulk delete logins function allows very quick and efficient cleanup. Logins and data will be deleted with a simple click.
csv files with all logins and jobs
This function creates a file with logins and jobs, their space allocation and access information. The data is formated with comma seperated values so that spreadsheet programs can be used to present and edit this data.
Old logins
This shows you logins that have been created longer than 30 days ago and that no content. Either somebody changed her mind, or the login became empty since all files in it expired and were removed.
The second list shows logins ordered by they age of last access. The last used ones come first here.
The first icon
will delete the login and its associated folder right away. There is no confirmation question to make the process of deleting lots of files more interactively.
The second icon
behind the name of the login will set the lock flag on the login. This will also remove the login from the list. Only logins that do not have the lock flag set are shown in this clean up list. The lock attribute is meant to protect logins that that you like to keep around.
The process of cleaning up old material would be, that you go through the list and either delete, lock or ignore each item in the list.
Expired files
Files can have an expiry date set. (See Expiring media ) This function allows you to delete all files that have been expired for longer than 30 days. The thought behind this is that if something is not accessible for longer than 30 days and it has gone unnoticed then this will probably like this and it will remain like this in the future.
Trash can
Deleted files will go into a Trash can where they will be kept for a week. So if you accidentally delete a file you can recover it here. Metadata associated with the file will need to be renetered.
