| WiredriveOctober 2008: INTERDUBS and Wiredrive are similar. Up to a point. The differences of both systems are worth looking at. If you are interested in a solution that seems to be covered by either product then I would highly recommend to get test versions for both of them. Comparing Wiredrive and INTERDUBS side by side gives you probably a good idea which solution would fit your needs best.
Wiredrive, around for seven years, recently announced the release of Version 2.0. INTERDUBS last update was on 10/04/08 and there were 921
updates before that. Recently INTERDUBS added a QuickReel function.
INTERDUBS came into the market in mid 2007. Here a quick list of differences in features and terms between Wiredrive and INTERDUBS:
- INTERDUBS looks like the client site. 100%. And there is no INTERDUBS promotion on the site either.
- INTERDUBS allows easy and straight forward work in progress postings in great quality.
- INTERDUBS has a flat monthly fee of $285. There is no additional charge for data being stored in the system.
- There is no sign up obligation. INTERDUBS clients pay in the end of each month when they have been fully satisfied. If they should ever not be, then they should not be forced by anything to remain INTERDUBS clients.
- There is no sign up fee either. It's great if you would like to become an INTERDUBS client. I don't see why I should charge you for that.
- Should INTERDUBS be down for more than 26 seconds then you don't pay for the enitre month (99.999% uptime). Didn't happen yet. But there would be no point in running a service and don't commit to this kind of uptime and reliability.
- INTERDUBS is not done: New features get added very frequently. Web based software is great in that it can be updated without work on the user side. Luckily all the user data got migrated automtically over during those m921
code updates that INTERDUBS saw on the production servers. INTERDUBS clients certainly like to see their ideas and wishes implemented to swiftly.
- INTERDUBS features exist because users demanded them. INTERDUBS usage is based on what people wanted.
In my experience the people behind Wiredrive are nice. Give them a call. Capitalism might have many flaws. But competition is a great thing. You as a client should benefit from the fact that there are systems that you can compare. It would be great if you would choose the best solutions for your needs. And only you can tell which one that would be.
Enjoy!
