Skott came into directing the old fashioned way – he earned it, by shooting beautiful images.
Coming out of Cal Art Film School, he began his career as a still photographer, developing a visual a style that just demanded to be laid down at 24 frames per second. Where he makes bold choices with color, composition and camera moves; finding and expressing the heart of his subjects.
Skott has directed and shot national commercials for such powerhouse brands as Bud Light, Victoria Secret, and Calvin Klein, promos for ABC, FOX and HBO, two feature films, multiple TV shows.
Recent Awards to his name include Pro Max Award for the Desperate Housewives promo that launched the show and “ The Emmy’s” Promo “Thanks”.
