Update policy

Since INTERDUBS is implemented as a Software as a service we are able to constantly improve it. There have been 3872 updates to the running system. The last one was 05/22/13.

INTERDUBS is great the way it is, but we look forward to make it better for all of our clients in the future.

Not always do make feature updates it onto this list right away.

Client Presentation

  • Download
    • INTERDUBS customers can decide if their clients can download clips or not. They have control over the default, and can set this on a per sign-in basis as well.
  • CDN or INTERDUBS: your choice
    • We run our own network and data centers (in the US and Europe) but you can also use the EdgeCast CDN or Highwinds CDN to deliver content to your clients. We like to give our client options to serve them best.
  • iPhone
    • When INTERDUBS detects an iPhone it switches automatically to a specific navigation mode that was designed specifically for the device. We have been doing this a month after the phone came out. INTERDUBS will convert your clips automatically to the proper format for the iPhone.
  • Reels
    • You can create a custom reel in less than 60 seconds via drag and drop. Have a look at this movie to see how it actually works. See some examples.
  • no file size limits
    • Web uploads can be 2000 Megabytes per file. This is the only size limit that INTERDUBS has.
  • Thumbnails
    • For easy client recognition, thumbnails are generated automatically for all image files and a current frame or specific timecode can be used for movie file thumbnails. The thumbnail size is customized to fit your web design.
  • Visit notification
    • INTERDUBS can send you an email the moment your client looks at a presentation.
  • Visitor tracking
    • INTERDUBS tracks visitors by the email address that you used to notify them to use the content. Additionaly you can use Google Analytics to generate statistics. And INTERDUBS logs each page view with all relevant details.
  • Download optional
    • You can control easily if your clients can download content - or not.
  • Comments
    • INTERDUBS has incorporated a client comment option for all of your files. Comments can even be associated with a specific frame of a movie, in which case a thumbnail will be created as well. Comments can be delivered to you via email immediately. INTERDUBS also allows the download of comments into a file for further use in different applications. Of course the ability for client comments can be configured.
  • Design
    • All design elements are completely customizable so that the look and feel of INTERDUBS can match your website 100%. Your clients will only know INTERDUBS as another page on your website. There is no promotion of INTERDUBS on your pages. It's your content. INTERDUBS does not interfere with your client communication.
  • Looks
    • One INTERDUBS client can run many different designs out of one segment. If your company has seperates brands or business division then you can easily accomplish this by giving each their respective look. You still only need one INTERDUBS system for this.

  • Templates
    • INTERDUBS offers a list of a templates to get you going quickly with beautiful presentations.
  • iTunes
    • Clients can subscribe to a login like a "podcast" through iTunes. As content is updated by you on INTERDUBS, Itunes will automatically download the file to your client's computer.
  • Encryption
    • Client pages can be encrypted and sent over secure connection if required.
  • Direct link
    • Your postings are one single click away for your client.
  • Password request for enhanced security
    • Postings can be secured via a user name and password request handled by the browser, and regardless of the use of a direct link.
  • New indicator
    • INTERDUBS adds an indicator to files added to the site since the client's last viewing.
  • Upload link
    • If desired a client-login can have upload capibilities for the client.
  • Icon aspect ratio
    • Icon can be generated with controllable aspect ratio, letterbox or crop.
  • Complete file format support
    • INTERDUBS supports Quicktime, Windows Media and Flash as video formats. Images can be jpg, png, gif, tga. PDF get icons as well.
  • Vanity URLs
    • You can add specific Links to any login to make URLs simple. Like in http://interdubs.com/s/example/review03

Admin User Interface

  • Web Browser Control
    • All settings and commands are accessed through a simple yet powerful web interface.
  • Folders
    • For easy organization, files are stored in a flexible folder hierarchy.
  • Copy / Move
    • Like a traditional file/folder hierarchy, INTERDUBS allows you to copy and move single or multiple files from folder to folder through the web interface.
  • Order
    • Items can be sorted by name or date, or dragged and dropped into desired order within the browser
  • Web Upload
    • Customers can upload single or multiple files up to 2048MB through the web interface.
  • Droplet upload
    • INTERDUBS creates OS X droplets with one click that uploads content safely without any further interaction.
  • FTP upload
    • FTP can be used to upload files just as seamlessly as the web interface.
  • Multiple logins with the same name
    • Another tool to keep your files organized allows login names to be the same with differentiations in password only.
  • Admin Customisation
    • Admin users can sign-in with privileges to configure the admin interface to their needs.
  • ldap admin management
    • Organistations that use ldap for their user management can connect INTERDUBS' admin interface directly to their servers.
  • Documentation
    • Even though administration is done via an intuitive interface, each part of the system is documented.

Virtual File System

  • File Names
    • Storing files in a database allows for any file name no matter how long the name or what characters are used.
  • Search
    • A convenient and easy to use search field allows you and your client the quick access to files.
  • Rename
    • You can rename files on the site. No need to re-upload files just to make a name change.
  • Bulk Search and Rename
    • You can rename multiple clips with one search and replace operation. And it supports regular expressions. If you are into that kind of thing.
  • Replace media
    • The same content can be given a new set of media without changing any of the other meta data.
  • Tags
    • Additional file information can be added via tags.
  • copy/move
    • A group of files and single ones can be copied, moved, renamed etc.
  • Hide
    • Files can be made invisible to your clients with one simple click.
  • Archive
    • You can flag files as 'archive' so that they can not be deleted but rather collected in a special folder.
  • Trash-bin
    • Files that get deleted from the client viewing area go into a trash from where they can quickly be recovered. Of course we do not charge for contents of the trash.
  • Ignore old content
    • You can configure INTERDUBS to ignore older files or folders to keep your busy past from getting into the way of today.
  • Media Expiry
    • Every file can have an expiry date set after that is no longer visible on the client side.
  • Bulk cleanup
    • A couple of keystrokes can easily clean up content that has not been accessed in a while.
  • Credits
    • Clips can have customizable credits
  • Notes
    • Clips can have customizable notes

Communication

  • Email
    • INTERDUBS offers a convenient way to email your client directly from the site to notify them of your postings. Email can be sent as plain text or via HTML email. Email looks 100% like you would like to design it. Optionally you can configure an email address that will receive a BCC copy of all emails sent from within INTERDUBS
  • Address book
    • INTERDUBS will create an address book from all email addresses or email groups used when notifying to streamline future postings and communications.
  • Email Log
    • Keep tabs on who has received emails and when.
  • Access log
    • INTERDUBS' access log allows you to see who has accessed your posted files.
  • Feedback email
    • Each login can have an email address for client feedback as well as a sender for email notifications.
  • Upload log
    • A handy upload log allows you a monthly overview of INTERDUBS' utilization

    • INTERDUBS has an API that allows you to integrate it into other project management systems.
  • Data Export
    • INTERDUBS clients can request a complete data export usable in any other application at any time.

INTERDUBS offers design services at an hourly rate but this can also be carried out by your own designer since it is ordinary html.
  • Integration
    • Posting content on the Internet involves many steps and technologies. We offer consulting services to make INTERDUBS work best for your company's specific needs.
  • Migration
    • Moving content from another system into the INTERDUBS workflow can usually be done very easily and automated.
  • Special Implementations
